Supporting Students, Families, and Public Education Across British Columbia

A collaborative network of DPACs working together to strengthen public education.

Who We Are

The BC DPAC Coalition is a collaborative network of District Parent Advisory Councils (DPACs) across British Columbia. Our coalition fosters flexible, issue-based collaboration — empowering DPACs to come together on specific topics without the expectation of endorsing every initiative.

We believe in the power of parent voice to strengthen B.C.'s public education system.

What We Do

Our coalition approach allows DPACs to join forces on an ad hoc basis, creating strength through collaboration while respecting each district’s unique context.

Share information and best practices

We connect DPACs across the province to share insights, advocacy tools, meeting strategies, and communication resources that help strengthen local parent leadership.

Raise awareness of public education issues in B.C.

By working together, we can shine a brighter spotlight on the challenges and opportunities facing public education, ensuring that the parent voice is heard at local and provincial levels.

Coordinate advocacy campaigns

When common concerns arise, we help DPACs align their efforts — whether it's issuing joint statements, meeting with officials, or launching province-wide initiatives.

Amplify parent and caregiver voices

We collaborate witih other parent advocacy groups such as the BC Education Facilities Committee on focused issue areas.
